Newly-appointed Singaporean Consul-General in Dubai visits DEWA

HE Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed at his office in DEWA’s headquarters HE Umej Bhatia, on his assuming the office of Consul-General of Singapore in Dubai.
The two discussed bilateral relations at various levels and how to strengthen cooperation between DEWA and Singaporean companies.
Their Excellencies also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between DEWA and the government of Singapore in the areas of watermanagement and modern methods and techniques used in this field along with the the latest research, experiences and trends regarding water and the protection of the environment to conserve natural resources.
The Consul-General of Singapore in Dubai praised the facilities and services provided by DEWA to Singaporean companies operating in Dubai and highlighted their recent achievements. The Consul-General of Singapore in Dubai invited the MD & CEO of DEWA to visit the Republic of Singapore to share similar experiences and best practices.
The MD & CEO of DEWA explained the scope of DEWA’s work, activities and development and efforts to continuously deliver its services to the Singapore Consul-General in Dubai and stressed DEWA’s intention to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Republic of Singapore at the highest levels. At the end of the visit, the Singaporean Consul General in Dubai thanked HE Saeed Al Tayer for the warm reception.
DEWA recently sent 29 of its employees as part of its “The Frontiers Leadership Development Program to Singapore as part of a training program in two consecutive phases. The first visit lasted from 25th to 27thMay, and the second extended from 31st May until the 2nd of June this year. The participants represented various departments and sectors in DEWA. This initiative is part of DEWA’s strategy to provide the latest training programs to improve the skills of its employees in compliance with its policy to continuously incorporate the latest practices and technology used in power generation and water
