MD & CEO of DEWA receives delegation from Siemens Energy

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, received in his office at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority a delegation from German engineering firm Siemens Energy. The delegation was headed by Dr. Rainer Hauenschild, CEO of Energy Solutions, and included Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO – Energy Sector Cluster MEA, Marcus Brueckner, Senior Vice President GT Power Plant Solutions, and Basim Akkawi, Corporate Account Manager. Nasser Lootah, EVP – Power Generation Division and Waleed Salman, EVP – Strategy and Business Development also attended for DEWA.

His Excellency welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of working with Siemens Energy as one of the world-leading companies in the field of energy.

“This meeting supports the mutual working relationship between DEWA and Siemens, especially in the field of power generation, solutions and related technologies, and promoting partnerships between both private and public sectors so as to serve future projects,” said His Excellency.

The delegation briefed His Excellency on services provided by Siemens Energy in Dubai and in the United Arab Emirates as a whole. These services, which include establishing power stations and transmission grids, focused on solutions to meet the challenges associated with the rapid development of energy efficiency, grid reliability, and combining renewable energy into the grid. Middle East Countries, particularly the UAE, are on the list of the most important markets for Siemens Energy.

At the end of the visit, the delegation extended their thanks to HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer MD & CEO of DEWA for the warm reception and the opportunity to review DEWA’s operations and its projects
