Featuring seven child-friendly waterslides, as well as the first KIDZ Tornado (Cyclone) and KIDZ Bowl (Boa) in the MEA region
Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis, The Palm will make a splash in April 2018 with the launch of a brand-new children’s area called ‘Splashers Island.’ Located next to the current children’s area ‘Splashers Mountain’, and at almost three times the current footprint, the new addition, suitable for families with children 1.20m and below, will feature 20 new thrilling water attractions and seven exciting waterslides, as well as the addition of a giant dry-play structure.
Featuring fun-soaked experiences for the whole family to enjoy, highlights of ‘Splashers Island’ include seven brand-new body and tube slides, as well as the first KIDZ Tornado and KIDZ Bowl in the MENA region! The KIDZ Tornado (Cyclone) shoots tube riders into the top of a giant bowl where they orbit high on the banked walls for lots of hold-on-tight excitement, and the KIDZ Bowl (Boa) offers funnel excitement with a ‘slow-and-go’ tempo. In addition, the new area will feature a dry play structure designed in the shape of a dhow shipwreck, and a large, exclusive seating zone just for families.
The new area will be conveniently located right next to ‘Splashers Mountain,’ which currently features a large wet play area including climbing frames, hanging bridges, water cannons and two enormous tipping buckets that send over 1,000 litres of water gushing down onto those who dare to stand below.
Both areas have been exclusively designed for families only and guests will be offered access to both Splashers Island and Splashers Mountain within the cost of a general admission ticket to Aquaventure. Hungry families can also grab snacks and drinks at the nearby Splashers Kiosk, serving snacks and sandwiches, as well as ice cold beverages throughout the day.
The award-winning Aquaventure Waterpark also offers a full range of amenities, including dining and retail outlets, changing rooms, cabanas, guest services, first aid and a team of over 310 Ellis and Associates trained lifeguards positioned throughout the park.
